Thinking of You–CTD #272

CTD272_2013dec11

Hey, all, and welcome to the last Color Throwdown Challenge of 2013! Can you believe how fast this year has flown!! Wowzas!! The team is taking the next two weeks off for the holidays, but Miss Broni has a fabulous color palette for us to work with this week, so we hope to see lots of you playing along.

For my card, I’m using some just released MFT products. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then stamped the line of damask images from MPD Damask Designs with Sweet Tooth pigment ink on Smoky Slate card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I popped that up and added another Sweet Tooth card stock layer as a background for my bouquet. It was done with the new LJD Grand Peaceful Wildflowers Die-namics dies and LJD Grand Peaceful Wildflowers stamp set. I used Sour Apple ink, Berrylicious ink, and Grapesicle ink for the stamping. I popped them up on foam, then stamped the sentiment, also from LJD Grand Peaceful Wildflowers, on a First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics flag with Steel Gray ink, and tied on a Sweet Tooth button for accent after popping it up on foam. Another accent in the upper right corner was made with another size First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics flag and another Sweet Tooth button.

Here’s the inside, with another sentiment from the set:

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD272 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our December Guest Designer! Since this month will be a short month due to the holidays, Cindy Lawrence has graciously agreed to continue into December with us!

    1. Debbi, thank you so much! The design team cards should all be watermarked so you should be able to tell who does what by that. Hope that helps, and thanks again for the very kind words!

    2. Oh DUH! I should have thought of that...but all the looking around probably helped MFT because now I have a $60+ order to send in. :) I think I'm in love with Grapesicle and the new Insulation Pink!
