Ahoy! Sorry, couldn’t resist :) Welcome to Day Six of MFT’s February Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing PI Sailor Girl, Fishnet Cover-Up Die-namics, Mini Delicate Doilies Die-namics, and Striped Background, another red rubber background stamp. For all the details, be sure to check out the MFT Blog and remember: release is February 11th at 10 pm.
This seriously might be one of my favorite PI’s EVER! I just love that sailor dress!! I started this card with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then cut Fishnet Cover-Up Die-namics from a piece of Kraft card stock and adhered ~ half of it to a Nightshift Blue card stock layer. On more Kraft card stock and with Nightshift Blue ink, I stamped the anchor, from another set releasing this month, Go Overboard, to create my patterned paper. On top of the anchors I stamped the new Striped Background using Versamark on the diagonal for some subtle shading. I added that to the bottom of the Nightshift Blue card stock layer and adhered some Nightshift Blue grosgrain ribbon around, then tied on a Nightshift Blue button with hemp cord.
I stamped the image on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with Copic markers. I cut it out with an Oval STAX Die-namics die and matted it with Kraft card stock also cut out with an oval die. I popped the whole thing up on foam and it was done!
A sentiment from the set was stamped on the inside.
And that’s Day Six of February’s Release Countdown! Hope to see you back later today for this month’s MFT Color Palette Challenge and tomorrow for Day Five Release Countdown!
