Sending You My Love–Catered Crop Recipe Swap

hearts_2014feb4

Hey, everyone! The latest Catered Crop Recipe Swap went live a couple of days ago and this one is all heart—Heart of the Matter, that is! Without hearts and Valentines and all things Love-ly, February would just be another cold month between Christmas and Spring. So, for our first February challenge, Catered Crop wants to give you every opportunity to share you heart. Just use a heart somewhere in your project and join the party. If you need some inspiration, check out the Heart of the Matter Pinterest Gallery.

If you *do* check out that gallery, you will immediately see I was totally inspired by one of the pins :) For my card, I started with a Steel Gray card stock base. Then I stamped Sheet Music Background on Sweet Tooth card stock with Steel Gray ink and got busy stamping hearts. First I made a template by cutting out a Heart STAX Die-namics die and used the negative for my “stencil”. I taped the “stencil” on my Sheet Music Background panel with removable tape, then inked up the little heart from PI Will You Be Mine? with four red inks, in turn: Red Hot ink, Wild Cherry ink, Electric Red ink, and Paver Red ink and filled in that heart with them. When I removed the “stencil” I stamped three hearts that were flying away :) I layered it with some Wild Cherry card stock and popped it up on the base with foam tape.

The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped on a strip of Steel Gray card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being popped up on foam, as well.

The inside has another couple of images from the set.
