Hoping to SEA you soon–MFTWSC #175

MFTWSC175_2014may7

Hey, there! It’s Wednesday noon so it must be time for this week’s MFTWSC! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFTWSC175
This card started with a Kraft card stock base. Using Waves Stencil, I sponged some Berrylicious ink onto Sno Cone card stock, then cut it out with the background die from May’s Blueprints 15 Die-namics—love the stitching lines on this die! I popped that up on foam, then added a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Striped backgrounds and a piece of Kraft card stock stamped with the soon-to-be-released Linen Background. Ohmyword! I love Linen Background! You will be seeing lots of that from me, I am sure.

Next I made a “port hole” of sorts using Oval STAX Die-namics and some clear acetate card stock. The back of the scene was made with Berrylicious card stock. The sentiment, from LJD Sea Life, was stamped with Black Licorice ink and the bubbles with Grout Gray ink. The fish and plants, from LJD Sea Life and LJD Sea Life Die-namics, were stamped with Orange Fizz Hybrid ink, Sour Apple Hybrid ink, and Gumdrop Green Hybrid ink. I popped the whole thing up on foam, added the screw head brads, and it was done!

On the inside of the card I stamped a sentiment from Bold Statements.

And there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by—hope to see you playing along this week! AND, hope to see you back tomorrow for Day Six of MFT’s May Release Countdown!
