The Necktie–MFT May Release Countdown, Day Five

Hi, everyone! I’m back again today with Day Five of MFT’s May Release Countdown! Don’t forget release is May 11, at 10pm, but in the meantime, be sure to check out the MFT Blog for all the details and to see more from the design team.

Today we’re previewing You Were Meant to Sparkle Stamp Set, Sequins Die-namics, Pinstripe Background, and Suit and Tie Die-namics. I went with the ubiquitous necktie-for-Father’s-Day for my card theme today, using Suit and Tie Die-namics.

I cut the necktie die from three stamped “patterned papers” and popped them up on a Sweet Tooth card stock layer which I had embossed with Modern Morocco Die-namics. The pattern papers were made as follows: LJD Darling Dots on Grape Jelly card stock, Striped Backgrounds on Sweet Tooth card stock, and LJD Spring Backgrounds on Berrylicious card stock, all done with Black Licorice ink.

I cut the tie tack from gold glitter paper and adhered one to each tie, then popped the whole thing up on foam tape on a Black Licorice card stock base. The sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental About Fathers and was stamped on a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock with Black Licorice Hybrid ink.

Another sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Fathers was stamped on the inside of the card.
