Hello Friend–Catered Crop Recipe Challenge

1cateredcrop_vellum_2014jul25

Vellum is making somewhat of a comeback in the last few months, so to take advantage of it’s new-found popularity, Catered Crop is challenging us to use vellum somewhere on our projects this time. As always Linda has a Pinterest board for inspiration here: Vellum.

I decided to make a sweet little vellum pocket to hold some sequins on the front of my card today. I started with a Primitive White card stock and added a strip of Steel Gray card stock down the left side. Next I added a panel of paper I made, also Primitive White card stock onto which I stenciled Sour Apple ink and Berrylicious ink using Diagonal Stripes Stencil and over stamped with Sheet Music Background and Steel Gray ink. Next is a small panel of Berrylicious card stock stamped with Steel Gray ink and Notebook Paper Background and finally Primitive White card stock stamped with Striped Backgrounds and Steel Gray ink. Using LLD Treat Pocket, I cut my vellum element and stamped a sentiment from LJD Snowflake Splendor with Versamark and heat embossed with Zing Charcoal embossing powder. I filled it with sequins, folded the flap down so they wouldn’t fall out, and tied some matching baker’s twine around, along with a Steel Gray button. I finished it off by gluing some sequins on the outside of the vellum pocket.

A sentiment from LJD Blissful Butterflies was stamped on the inside.
