Birthday Wishes–C4C #247

Hi, everyone, it’s time for Crazy 4 Challenges! This week Helen is challenging us to use banners on our cards or projects. Easy peasy, right?

I immediately thought of MFT’s new Blueprints 17 Die-namics and the darling chalkboard that it makes. Bitty banners are included so it was a done deal! To start, I stamped up some Blu Raspberry Card Stock with Wood Plank Background and Grout Gray Ink (hard to see in the photo because of the woodgrain scoring but it does add to the look in real life) and cut out the frame. With Birthday Chalkboard Greetings, I did the chalkboard technique by stamping with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and heat embossing white embossing powder. I made the banner from Kraft Card Stock, cut the stars from silver glitter paper, and tied around some silver cord on a Kraft Button. The balloons were made with Balloon STAX Die-namics, cut from Fuse Green Card Stock stamped with Striped Backgrounds and Fuse Green Ink, Orange Fizz Card Stock stamped with Grid Background and Grout Gray ink, and Razzle Berry Card Stock stamped with LLD Jumbo Mod Borders and Versafine. I attached some florist’s wire to them that had been colored with a Kraft colored Copic marker and popped them up on foam.
