Hey, everyone! It’s Day Two of MFT’s September Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing Falling Leaves Die-namics, Thankful Thoughts, Mini Chicken Wire Background, and Words of Gratitude Die-namics. Don’t forget: release is tomorrow night, September 16, at 10pm—be sure to hop on by the MFT Blog for all the details!
This card started with a Primitive White Card Stock base. Then, on another piece of Primitive White Card Stock, I partially stamped Mini Chicken Wire Background with Steel Gray Ink and splattered it with Orange Fizz Refill, Jellybean Green Refill, and Safety Orange Refill mixed with MIX-ables Sheer Shimmer Mist. I love the little touch of color and the shimmer you get with those splatters :)
Next I stamped up some Kraft Card Stock with Kraft Ink and cut out Pinking Edge Rectangle STAX Die-namics and popped it up on the card base. I cut Falling Leaves Die-namics from (top to bottom) Orange Fizz Card Stock, Jellybean Green Card Stock, and Safety Orange Card Stock, tied on a hemp cord bow, and popped them up on foam as well. To finish off, I cut Words of Gratitude Die-namics from Tangy Orange Card Stock and adhere it with liquid glue. All sponging was done with Kraft Ink.
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment using two images from from Thankful Thoughts with Tangy Orange Ink and Steel Gray Ink and added some leaves from the set with Safety Orange Ink, Orange Fizz Ink, and Jellybean Green Ink.
And that’s it! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!

ReplyDeleteLove this warm fall card. Leaves are so versatile!
ReplyDeleteThe chicken wire background and the burlaped, pinking shears layer is a wonderful union. I like where you placed the bow to look like the leaves were joined together. Super layout Barb.
ReplyDeleteHello Barb! Love the card! The leaves and twine, the chicken wire background, the burlap layer cut with the pinking shears so it won't fray (as I explained to Amy, when I learned to sew, we all had pinking shears in our sewing kits for that reason), and the inside. Love your work as ever! XO, M
