May You Find Peace This Day–SSSC #256

SSSC256_2015feb15

Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Karen has another great classic design for us today.

SSSC256

I decided to make this one a sympathy card—you just never know when you’ll need one of those. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, trimmed down in height to about 5” to achieve the dimensions suggested by the sketch and stamped the sentiment from lJD Peaceful Wildflowers at the bottom with Steel Gray dye ink. Next, on a Sweet Tooth card stock panel, I partially stamped Harlequin Background with Grout Gray dye ink and popped it up on foam mounting tape. Next up is a strip of Grout Gray card stock stamped with Linen Background and Grout Gray dye ink, also popped up on foam. Then I added a Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and finished off with a bouquet of flowers from LJD Peaceful Wildflowers stamp set and lJD Wildflowers Die-namics: I used Limelight dye ink, Green Room dye ink, Daffodil dye ink, Wild Wisteria dye ink, Peach Bellini dye ink, Coral Crush dye ink, and Blueberry dye ink on the images. I tied around some hemp cord, added some enamel dots, and it was done.

Another sentiment from the set was stamped on the INSIDE.

And that’s it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers have for you today:
