Introducing: Décor and More Alphabet

scrabbleletterB_2015apr20

Hi, everyone, we have a surprise for you—a between-release release! I am pleased as punch to introduce to you the brand new Décor and More Alphabet!! These letter dies measure 5 1/4” tall and will be a mainstay of your home décor—and more—projects. I have so many ideas whirling around in my brain that I want to do with these—now I just need the time! And they fit perfectly on an A2 card so they will be invaluable for making a fast and easy card. I did manage to whip up a project for today to show you how awesome these new dies are.

Letters are so trendy in home décor these days and I’ve seen so many cute things made with Scrabble tiles so I thought I’d replicate one for my project. I started with a 5” x 7” stretched canvas, then painted it to match my wood veneer paper as closely as possible. After it dried, I used Mod Podge and adhered my wood veneer paper to the front. Here’s a shot from the side so you can see the canvas and the painted sides.

After that dried, I used Kraft dye ink and distressed all of the edges. Next, using my Décor and More – B initial, I cut Black Licorice card stock and adhered it to the wood front. I cut more Black Licorice card stock with the number 3 (for the point value of the letter B in Scrabble) from LLD Emmitt Numbers & Symbols and adhered that, which finished it off!

I have my letter propped up in front of some books in the master bedroom. I only had the B when I made this but you can bet I will be owning the entire alphabet—I want to make a J just like this for my DH, and did I mention I have a ton of ideas for these??? Banners, pillow applique, wall art, you name it, it’s going to be so easy with these gems!! Since I love making home décor projects, you’ll be seeing them from me a LOT in the future.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Now go get your letters and start decorating your home—and more! See you soon!
