MFT Ingenious Inking Design Team Challenge - Compatible With Copics

ing_ink_copics_2015jun23

Hi, everyone, welcome to this month’s MFT Ingenious Inking Design Team Challenge! This month is all about being compatible with Copics. MFT has some incredibly CUTE images to color and one of my favorite ways to color is with Copic markers. And, of course, MFT’s hybrid inks are completely compatible with Copics! No smearing or bleeding with these babies! Being waterproof, they are also compatible with many other coloring mediums but today we’re focusing on Copic markers.

My DH and I just got back from a trip to Italy. We have several awesome house/cat sitters and I needed a thank you card for one of them. What better than this sweet PI Feline Better for a cat lover, right? With Black Licorice hybrid ink, I stamped the two images with my MISTI on PI Feline Better Die-namics cut from Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb paper, then colored them with Copic markers. I used a card base made from Coral Crush card stock stamped with Lace Background and Versamark, then heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Next I added a Sweet Tooth card stock layer to which I added white embossing paste through MPD Scallops Stencil. Then I added a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Striped Backgrounds and Black Licorice dye ink along with a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with part of a sentiment from PI Woof You. LJD Scribbles Die-namics cut from Black Licorice card stock and a Black Licorice button tied with baker’s twine finished it off after I popped up the colored images on foam mounting tape.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from LJD Grand Greetings.
