It’s time! MFT’s October Release is live right NOW at the MFT Boutique!! All of the products we’ve been showing you for the last five days are now available for purchase in the MFT Boutique!
I have two cards for you using several products from the release but focusing on Hand Lettered Holiday, a gorgeous sentiment set that is sure to take your Christmas cards to a whole new level! My first card started with a Wild Cherry card stock base. Then I traced around the new Stitched Cover-Up Companion – Diagonal Die-namics on some Ranger watercolor paper so I’d have a guide for stamping my holly sprigs. Then I went back and stamped them—the image is from Hand Lettered Holiday—with Black Licorice hybrid ink and Wild Cherry dye ink and colored the leaves with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.
Next I cut it out with Stitched Cover-Up Companion – Diagonal Die-namics and taped it all back together because I wanted the stitching to show on the panels. Next I cut another Stitched Cover-Up Companion – Diagonal Die-namics from water color paper and stamped the sentiment from hand Lettered Holiday with the new Gravel Gray dye ink. I finished off with a couple more holly sprigs and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape.

Before I get to my second card, I want to give you a heads up about the FREE mini classes that you can download from the Resources Section on the MFT Blog. I’m super excited about this because one of the five classes is one I created with Winter Wonderland! Be sure to check out all of the tutorials, which are in one easy PDF file.

My second card uses Streetlights Die-namics, last month’s Free With $60 set and available in it’s own right this month.
This card was a ton of fun to make! I started with the new Stone Gray card stock for the base. Next, on a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock, I sponged my background, from the center: Sunshine dye ink, Lemon Chiffon dye ink, Cornflower dye ink, Blueberry dye ink, After Midnight dye ink, and Nightshift Blue dye ink. After that was good and dry, I stamped the sentiment from hand Lettered Holiday, with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Next I stenciled on some embossing paste through the new Snowfall Stencil and allowed that to dry.
I added a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics, popped up on foam, then Streetlights Die-namics cut from Black Licorice card stock with a holly sprig from BB Santa’s Elves. To finish off I splattered it all over with some watered down Sweet Tooth pigment ink refill and it was done!
And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR Hand Lettered Holiday stamp set in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, October 8th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, October 9th. Good luck!!
