I am swooning over these two new products that I’m using for these two cards!! I’ve loved the gem trend and was so happy to see these this month. But first, I have to tell you that I am thrilled to be a contributor to this month’s FREE mini classes—there are five tutorials in one PDF file that can be found in the Resources Section of the MFT Blog.

For my first card, I started with a Stone Gray card stock base, then did a little watercolor wash on some Ranger watercolor paper with Peerless Watercolors and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape. I stamped the three smaller images from Bling It On with Versamark and heat embossed with silver detail embossing powder.

Then I cut three Diamonds Die-namics from watercolor paper and the layers from Silver Shine card stock. Next I colored all the gems with Peerless Watercolors, working in a rainbow pattern from bottom to top, then the die cut diamonds were assembled and popped up on foam. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock, cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 4 Die-namics and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, then popped up, as well. I finished off with a few clear gems. I love the deep colors of these gems—they just make me smile!

My second card was easy peasy and came together in a flash!

This one started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I dry embossed the larger die from Diamonds Die-namics on some Ranger watercolor paper. I chose this paper because it’s thick and soft and I knew I’d get a good impression. Next I stamped the sentiment, from Bling It On with Delicata Gold pigment ink and heat embossed with Gold Detail embossing powder.

I matted it with Gold Sparkle card stock and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape. To finish it off, I added some gold glitter enamel dots and some clear gems. This makes a fun engagement card, don’t you think?

And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR Bling It On stamp set and Diamonds Die-namics in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, January 7th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, January 8th. Good luck!!
