Happy For You–CTD #377

CTD377_2016jan27

Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! Lisa is our hostess this week and for her very first challenge she has chosen an awesome combo—based on her equally awesome inspiration piece.

I just love that rustic look, so I kind of went with a bit of a rustic look for my card. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and stamped up Distressed Patterns using Black Licorice dye ink, Kraft dye ink, and Daffodil dye ink for a background. Next I stamped some Kraft card stock with Natural dye ink and Woodplank Background, then cut a tag with Tag Builder Blueprints 1 Die-namics. The grommet was made from Black Licorice card stock, I added some baker’s twine, and popped it up on foam mounting tape.

Next I added a Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics cut from Cement Gray card stock and a butterfly from LJD Blissful Butterflies and LJD Blissful Butterflies Die-namics stamped with Daffodil dye ink and popped up on foam. The sentiment from the set was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Blueprints 20 Die-namics, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped up on foam. I finished off with a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD377 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd377 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented January Guest Designer, Amy Rysavy!
