Hi, everyone, back today to share another card I made for MFT’s May Release. One Way Chevron is a great way to make an eye-catching background no matter what you do with it.
I decided to use it for a rainbow background and added a focal point that would compliment but not overwhelm the background. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added some narrow strips of Black Licorice card stock down each outside edge. Then on a piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper, I stenciled Peerless Watercolors with a small waterbrush and allowed it to dry befor splattering with clean water and black watercolor, then popped it up on foam mounting tape.
For my focal point, I added Bold Greenery Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock, Pretty Posies stamped on Sweet Tooth card stock with Black Licorice hybrid ink, and Hello There Die-namics, cut from Black Licorice card stock—all on top of some curled up black silk thread. I finished the sentiment by stamping Label Maker Sentiments with Black Licorice hybrid ink on Label Tape Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock, popped up on foam tape.
And that’s it! I love that stencil, don’t you? Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
