countdown2a_2016jul4

Hi there and welcome to Day Two of MFT’s July Release Countdown! We’re in the home stretch—release is tomorrow night, July 5th, at 10pm, EDT. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details. Today we’re previewing You're Rawr-some Stamp Set, You're Rawr-some Die-namics, Happy Birthday to You Die-namics, LLD Stitched Banner Alphabet Die-namics, LLD Stitched Banner Numbers Die-namics, and Watercolor Wash Brights Paper Pack.

NewReleaseCountdown_Day2
Since today is July 4th, I thought it appropriate to create a Happy Birthday USA card. I started with a Sweet Tooth card base, added a strip of the new Tiny Check Paper Pack in red down the right side, along with a narrow strip of Silver Sparkle card stock. On some After Midnight card stock, I then stenciled Sweet Tooth pigment ink through Sun Ray Stencil and cut out Star STAX Die-namics. I created a shaker card using heat resistant acetate, foam mounting tape, and 6 mm Patriotic Mix and 4 mm Patriotic Mix sequins along with Silver Shimmer Seed Beads.

For the sentiment, I stamped “Happy Birthday” from LJD Celebrate With Cake Stamp Set with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and completed it with LLD Stitched Banner Alphabet Die-namics, and LLD Stitched Banner Numbers Die-namics using Wild Cherry card stock, Sweet Tooth card stock, and popped up on foam. I finished off with some Silver Sparkle card stock cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics and Blueprints 25 Die-namics.

Next up is a card created with a rawr-some new set!

I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a background created with Ranger Watercolor Paper, Peerless Watercolors, and a waterbrush. Next, with Black Licorice hybrid ink, I stamped and cut out my scene elements from You’re Rawr-some Stamp Set and You’re Rawr-some Die-namics from Ranger Watercolor paper and also colored them with Peerless Watercolors.

The popped up “grass” is also watercolored and cut with Surf & Turf Die-namics and a slider created using Spin & Slide Discs. The sentiment was stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink and the scene completed with Radiant Sun Die-namics and Puffy Clouds Die-namics. I love that sweet dinosaur!!

And that’s it for today’s projects! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for the last day of
MFT’s July Release Countdown!
