Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
That rectangle was a shaker card opportunity to me, LOL! So, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I applied a watercolor wash to Ranger Watercolor Paper with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush, cut it with Blueprints 25 Die-namics for a stitched border, then cut the window out with Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. My shaker element was created with a Heat Resistant Acetate window, popped up on foam mounting tape, and filled with Pretty Pink Posh sequins and seed beads. The striped effect from the sketch was achieved with Thick & Thin Paper Pack used for the back of the shaker element.
I cut Twice the Thanks Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock, adhered it to the window. I added two bees from LJD Fly-By Friends stamp set and LJD Fly-By Friends Die-namics to the outside for those sketch elements (and included three inside the shaker), popped up on foam. A sentiment from LJD Fly-By Friends was stamped with Versamark on Translucent Vellum, cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 4 Die-namics and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. I popped it up on clear foam tape under the sentiment.
And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
