Have you ever seen a cuter beast? I sure haven’t—Birdie Brown has hit another one outta the park. I have a couple of cards for you today using this adorable new set so let’s get started. First up, I started this card with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then, on some Smooth White cards tock, I sponged a night sky with After Midnight dye ink and stamped the sentiment at the bottom with Black Licorice hybrid ink. Then I applied molding paste through Snowfall Stencil and allowed it to dry. After it dried, it had soaked up some of the ink and was light blue instead of white, so I simply painted each snowflake with white craft paint—sure wasn’t going to start over ;-) When that was dry I adhered it to the card base.
The images from the set were stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink on X-Press It Blending Card, cut with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam mounting tape. So CUTE!!!
*****
My second card is not Christmas related and shows the versatility of this set.
This one also started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. To that I added a watercolored background created by applying Peerless Watercolors to Ranger Watercolor Paper with a Waterbrush. To that I added Snow-Capped Mountains Die-namics, cut from Cement Gray card stock, Gravel Gray card stock, and Sweet Tooth card stock. I added Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics also cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and on which I stamped the sentiment and footprints with Black Licorice hybrid ink and Gravel Gray dye ink respectively. Dimension was achieved with foam mounting tape.
The images were stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam mounting tape. So sweet!!!!!
And there you have it for Day Four of MFT’s October Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you back tomorrow for Day Three!
