Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
Apparently I have some sort of compulsion to take sketches out of the box, LOL! For this one, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a strip of Rainbow Stripes Paper Pack cut with Blueprints 3 Die-namics for the scallop element. Next is more Sweet Tooth card stock with molding paste applied through Star Celebration Stencil, popped up on foam mounting tape. Next is another panel of Sweet Tooth card stock with the sentiment from LJD Stars Above stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink, also popped up on foamq.
Then, using my MISTI, I stamped the three smaller stars from LJD Stars Above on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink, cleaned off the stamps, overstamped with Versamark, and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder. This is the best solution I’ve found for black heat embossing. I have black powder but I get strays everywhere despite using Embossing Magic. Also this way you can have any color you want: Win-win! Next I watercolored the stars in rainbow colors with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush and added them to the card front, several popped up on foam.
And that’s it from me today! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
