Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
I thought I’d make another Winter card using this sweet BB Warmest Wishes set that I hadn’t used in a while. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and covered it with Watercolor Wash Brights Paper Pack. Then I cut more Sweet Tooth card stock with Blueprints 20 Die-namics, applied molding paste through Snowfall Stencil, allowed it to dry, and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape.
I stamped the image with Black Licorice hybrid ink on X-Press It Blending card, colored it with Copic markers, and popped it up on foam as well. I recently cleaned all my Copic markers and refilled where needed and finally got around to filling in the colors on Sandy Allnock’s hex chart (love that thing—you need it if you don’t already have it!). As I was adding colors I became very aware that I keep using the same colors and needed to branch out. Today’s colors are branching out :)
So, then I popped her up on foam, stamped the sentiment from BB Toasty Greetings (I needed a smaller profile element there so as to not obscure too much of the main image) with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Blueprints 22 Die-namics, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, popped it up on foam and was done!
And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Such a sweet card, Barbara! Your coloring and shading with those Copics are spot on. Her clothing looks so realistic and so do her face and hair.
ReplyDeleteI spotted your card on the MFT blog. So super sweet. and coloured beautifully.
ReplyDeleteSaw this sweet card on the MFT blog yesterday, and popped right over to comment (but it wasn't posted - yet!). That image is coloured so beautifully - love the dimension that the snowy BG adds.
