cardkitday1_2017mar20

Hello and welcome to Day One of MFT’s March Card Kit Reveal! This month’s kit is Doodled Blooms Card Kit and it has the cutest doodled flowers! Release is tomorrow night, March 21, at 9pm Eastern. Be Sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details.

For my card today I stamped the images on X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used a Wobble Spring for the center flowers and here’s a little video to show the action:

I’m using a Sweet Tooth card stock base and a piece of the new Distress Woodgrain Paper for the card front. Before I adhered it to the base with foam mounting tape, I sponged Blu Raspberry dye ink at the top and Sour Apple dye ink at the bottom and stamped the sentiment from More Essential Sentiments—which is included in the kit.

Then I popped the flowers up on foam and adhered the center flower with the Wobble Spring and finished off with some Sparkling Clear Mix Sequins. There are some gorgeous colored envelopes included in this kit and I stamped a couple of the flowers on a Blu Raspberry envelope with Black Licorice hybrid ink for a little something special.

And that’s it for Day One of
MFT’s March Card Kit—Doodled Blooms. Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Two!

  5. This is just gorgeous. I love the woodgrain background, and the fact that you used blue and green on it instead of beige or brown - really pretty, and I've never seen that before.
