MFT July Release Countdown, Day Three

Hello there and welcome to Day Three of MFT’s July Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing PI Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set, PI Happy Birthday to You Die-namics, PI Happy Cake Day Stamp Set, PI Happy Cake Day Die-namics, Happy Birthday Circle Frame Die-namics, Circle Shaker Pouches (previously released), and Maze Shapes – Rainbow. I have cards using both of this month’s Pure Innocence sets—I couldn’t decide which one to use so I did both! First up is PI Happy Birthday to You. I stamped the image on No-Line Coloring Card Stock with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, cut it out with the coordinating PI Happy Birthday to You Die-namics, and colored it with Copic markers, then paper pieced the ribbon and bow with paper from Sweet Celebration Paper Pack.



For the background, I applied a watercolor wash with Peerless Watercolors on Ranger Watercolor Paper, splattered some clean water with a Mini Mister, and stamped the sentiment. Then I added some strips of paper from Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Pastels Paper Pack and Sweet Celebration Paper Pack a couple cut with Blueprints 12 Die-namics and Blueprints 16 Die-namics and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam mounting tape, popped up the stamped and colored image, and was done!

My second card uses the adorable PI Happy Cake Day.



I stamped the image with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink on No-Line Coloring Card Stock and colored it with Copic markers. It’s hard to see, but I used some white Puffy Paint on the cake icing for some texture. Then I adhered Proper Pinstripes Pastels Paper Pack to the bottom of a Sweet Tooth Card Stock base and popped up more Sweet Tooth card stock on foam mounting tape. Before I did that, though, I cut the center with Inside & Out Stitched Oval STAX Die-namics and the edge with Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics. I added Black Licorice card stock cut with Stitched Basic Edges Die-namics along the edge and added more patterned paper behind the oval, along with a piece of Translucent Vellum to lighten the color a bit.



Then I added some strips of Roses All Over Paper Pack, Black & White Basics Paper Pack, and Tiny Hearts Pastels Paper Pack and the sentiment, stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice Card Stock and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. A few scattered Sparkling Clear Mix Sequins finished it off.
