My Favorite Things July Release Countdown, Day Five

Hi, everyone, and welcome to Day Five of MFT’s July Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing Smitten Kitten Stamp Set, Smitten Kitten Die-namics, Puppy Pals Stamp Set, Puppy Pals Die-namics, Celebrate Speech Bubble Die-namics, Fringed Scallop Borders Die-namics, Gift Card Envelope Die-namics, and Smart Grid Paper Pack. I have a couple of cards for you today showing quite a few of these products. For my first card I using Puppy Pals and Puppy Pals Die-namics along with a couple of previously released products. I’m also using another new this month product, Mini Cloud Edges Stencil. I didn’t know I could love anything more than Cloud Stencil but I am smitten with this new addition! And did you see? We now have our own Grid Paper!!!!! Over the moon about that, too!!

I used Mini Cloud Edges Stencil for my background using Blue Breeze dye ink applied with Sponge Daubers (I’m so happy to have these available in the store now—I love them for stencils!). I adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base, added a Picket Fence Die-namics and Grassy Fields Die-namics cut from Gumdrop Green card stock with the sentiment stamped on the top layer. The images were stamped on No-Line Coloring Card Stock with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers then inserted into the scene.

I had the bright idea to make this look like the puppy was either digging up a stash of bones or creating one, LOL! Either way, I used the food bowl die for the mound of soil, cut from Kraft card stock with some Copic marker additions, and have him in the process of working on two bones with a pile of bones on the grass—you can see it better in this close up.

For my second card I used Smitten Kitten and a couple of other new products.



I started by sponging some Smooth White card stock with Lush Lagoon dye ink in sort of an ombre’ pattern then cut Celebrate Speech Bubble Die-namics from it and created a shaker element with foam mounting tape, Heat Resistant Acetate Card Stock, and Silver Shimmer Seed Beads. Before I adhered it to the card front, I dry embossed another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock with Star Celebration Stencil and adhered it to the card base.



The kitty was stamped on No-Line Coloring Card Stock with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam. I added Fringed Scalloped Borders Die-namics, cut from Brushed Silver card stock and scattered some stars, cut from Silver Sparkle card stock with Blueprints 13 Die-namics and Blueprints 25 Die-namics.
