Yay for Cake!–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #341

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I’m using the just-released PI Happy Cake Day for my card today. She was stamped on No-Line Coloring Card Stock with Black Licorice hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating die, and colored it with Copic markers. I added some white Puffy Paint to the cake icing for texture.

I added some Sweet Celebration Paper Pack to the top and bottom of a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added more Sweet Tooth card stock cut, top and bottom, with Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics, popped up on foam mounting tape and with some baker’s twine tied ‘round the top. I cut Single Stitch Line Square Frames Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, backed it with Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Paper Pack after I stamped the sentiment from Handwritten Happiness and adhered it to the card front. The only thing left to do was to adhered the colored image with foam tape and voila’! It was done!
