You Are My Anchor–CTD #450

Hello and welcome to another Color Throwdown Challenge! Today’s bold palette is brought to us by Wanda, and is based on her gorgeous inspiration piece.

I went with the nautical theme but in a different direction. I started by creating my background using Peerless Watercolors on Ranger Watercolor paper, and splattered some water droplets using a Mini Mister. When that was dry, I used Copic Opaque White to create the moon glow on the water, stamped the sentiment from You Float My Boat, and popped the background up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base using foam mounting tape.

I added a moon, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock with Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics, and stamped with Distressed Patterns and Gravel Gray dye ink and Cement Gray dye ink. I added Puffy Clouds Die-namics cut from Grout Gray card stock and the boat from You Float My Boat Die-namics, cut from Black Licorice card stock.
