Hi, everyone, I’m back with this month’s Birthday Project Challenge! Are you ready? This month we’re challenged to make Delicious Birthday Delights. All of the details about the challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
“Birthdays are kind of a perfect occasion for sweet-toothed birthday boys and girls. Cakes and cupcakes lead the charge, of course bedecked by a festive candle! Join our designers this month in crating birthday looks featuring cakes, cupcakes, and candles.” This is the challenge so I went with a cupcake :) I’m using PI Birthday Cupcake Stamp Set and Die-namics. I paper pieced her dress with Tiny Checks Brights Patterned Paper and colored her with Copic markers then popped her up on a background heat embossed with Roses All Over Background.
That was adhered to a card base covered with Roses All Over Brights Patterned Paper, framed her with Stitched Scallop Oval Frames Die-namics and heat embossed the sentiment on Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips cut from Black Licorice card stock. Foam tape was used for dimension and I finished off with some baker’s twine.
And that’s it for this month’s Birthday Project Challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
