You Are My Happy Place–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #393

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. As I was brain storming for this card, I envisioned the line across the center as a stretch of beach with the sea either at the bottom or the top. But what to do for them? So I did some web surfing and came across a beach scene with colorful bath houses and that was it! Most of the photos I saw were of identical sized houses but a few were of different sizes and shapes so I felt good about using Out Town Die-namics for it.



First I did the sky with Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Blue Breeze dye ink, then watercolored the houses, the sand, and the sea. I stamped the sentiment, from Beach Bunnies Stamp Set with Extreme Black Hybrid ink and added some white caps with Copic Opaque White. I cut the sea element using the unstitched side of Stitched Snow Drifts and used Peerless Watercolors. I think my houses have a decided Impressionistic look, don’t you? Monet would be proud.
