You Paint My World Happy - MFT Color Challenge #117

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Tropical Teal, Tangy Orange, Kraft, and After Midnight. When I saw this little girl bear with her paint brushes and that can of paint I KNEW right then she would be perfect for a color challenge!! So, to start, I sponged the floor with Cement Gray dye ink to ground the scene and stamped the sentiment with Extreme Black hybrid ink since in my experience, stamping with dye ink on top of dye ink leads to bleeding of the stamped image. Then I stamped the images with Extreme Black hybrid ink and colored them with Copic markers. I wanted her to be creating a masterpiece in abstract art so I had her “splash” her paint on a “canvas” made of Sweet Tooth card stock with Distressed Patterns Stamp Set and dye inks in the challenge colors.

I adhered the canvas with foam tape and since she’s a little girl, thought she might need some help to get at the top of the canvas. To give her a boost, I built her a ladder from Farm Fence Die-namics, sadly recently retired. I even gave her some paint smudges on her overalls and drips on the floor ;-)
