Halfway To the Big Day—Three Days Until MFT’s May Release!

Today we’re previewing Happy Hummingbirds Stamp Set, Happy Hummingbirds Die-namics, Dandelion Greenery Stamp Set, Brilliant Butterflies Stamp Set, Brilliant Butterflies Die-namics, and Foiled Frames - Circle Die-namics (Hot Foil).





These little hummers are so dainty and adorable! I thought this one in particular looked very demure and perfect for a “sorry” card. The base was cut from Sweet Tooth card stock with A2 Stitched Circle STAX with a hinge and the front covered with Black & White Dots patterned paper. Then I used Foiled Frames – Circle Die-namics with hot pink foil and cut it out with A2 Stitched Circle STAX so that the foil circle framed the little scene that was created with the hummer.

Here’s a view to show how the foil shimmers. In the past I’d had trouble getting a good foil impression on Sweet Tooth card stock so for this card I tried Smooth White and magic happened! The smoothness, I assume, made the foil transfer perfectly! Game changer!! I’ll never hesitate to do foiling again!

The sentiment and image were stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink, the image cut with the coordinating Die-namics and colored with Copic markers. The foiled circle was sponged with Broken China Distress ink and popped up on the card base with foam as was the colored image. I finished off with matching sequins.
