Here’s a Pinch to Grow an Inch–Color Throwdown Challenge #605

Hello and welcome to a new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week my girl Jodi is hostess and she’s challenging us to use the colors in her gorgeous inspiration piece.

I’ve been wanting to use this adorable crab from the recently released MFT Best Fins Stamp Set and Die-namics and thought this would be a great time to bring it out.

To begin, I did a little watercolor wash on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Peerless Watercolors and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I stamped the crab and coral images on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

Next I added a strip of Fun in the Sun Paper Pack with the perfect colors, added the sentiment strip, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics, popped up on foam, then finished up by adding the colored images, also on foam.
