Good Luck - Color Throwdown Challenge #626

 

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Lisa is hosting this week and has a fun color combo base on her retro vibe inspiration piece.

I love Ranger Watercolor paper because it's snow white but I needed a cream color watercolor paper for this card. Luckily I had some in my stash--I think it's Stampin' Up but now sure. I heat embossed Baccarat Background (keeping the retro vibe going) with silver detail embossing powder then applied a watercolor wash with Peerless Watercolors. 

I matted this with Black Licorice card stock and adhered it to a Chantilly Cream card stock base with foam tape. Chantilly Cream is gorgeous! REALLY creamy and a wonderful weight. Next I cut Good Luck Greetings Die-namics from Silver Sparkle card stock and twice from Black Licorice card stock and stacked them together with spray adhesive. 

I heat embossed a sentiment from Good Luck Greetings Stamp Set on Black Licorice card stock, cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics, with silver detail embossing powder and adhered it directly to the card front. The stacked die cut sentiment was adhered above that and I finished off with some glitter enamel dots.
