Sending Warm Hugs - Color Throwdown Challenge #667

 


Hey there and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week our hostess is Lori, who has a sort of monochromatic color palette for us this week, based on her whimsical inspiration piece.

While looking through possible pattern paper for some ideas, I knew as soon as I saw Keep Me In Stitches Paper Pack what I was going to do. This paper married up just perfectly with BB Sweater Weather In the Woods Stamp Set and Die-namics so off I went!

To begin, I stamped the bear image from the set on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut it out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored it with Copic markers. Next, on Sweet Tooth card stock, I air brush some peach colored Copic marker (R12) and added several die cuts and strips of paper from Keep Me In Stitches and Black & White Stripes Paper Pad, cut with Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips and Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips and adhered in a scrappy fashion.

The card front was then adhered to a Kraft card stock base with foam tape. The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock, also popped up on foam, as was the colored image. To finish off I added some glitter enamel dots in the challenge colors.
