Flourishes New Store Celebration - Day Two

Welcome to day 2 of the Grand Opening Celebration for Flourishes! We're celebrating our new home on the web! Today, for the Timeless Tuesday challenge, Friends of Flourishes Design Team member Makiko Jones is challenging us all to get in the spirit and create a card full of celebration. Simply create and link up here on this post and you'll be in the running for a goody bag from Flourishes! If you upload to Splitcoast, please use the keyword FLLCCEL2 and since this is also a Timeless Tuesday challenge as well, be sure to also add on the keyword FTTC57 to be in the running for the weekly drawing for $10 off in the Flourishes store. That's right – one challenge with two chances to win! You have until Monday, March 15th at 6 PM EST to link up your cards.

Not only are we celebrating Flourishes new store, but most of us in the US have had a long, messy winter and we're ready for it to be over! So, I'm celebrating the approach of Spring with my project today. I decided that those gorgeous little images in the A Year In Flowers Set 1 would make great Spring garden stakes. So, that's what I did!

I stamped the images on Classic White card stock and colored them with Copic markers. Then I cut them out with a Labels Four Nestabilities die. Next, I laminated them--this will, hopefully, make them last longer. After I laminated them, I cut them out again with a larger die and mounted them on a wooden craft stick. They probably won't last very long outside, but they'd make a great label for a gift of either a pot of flowers or some bulbs. If you don't have a laminating machine, you can get adhesive sheets that I'd think would work equally as well.

Thanks so much for dropping in today! Be sure to check out the rest of the Friends of Flourishes team and some of the Flourishes Senior DT girls for more inspiration as we celebrate today!
