Flourishes Word To Your Mother Challenge

Can you believe that it's almost time for another Flourishes' release? Are you ready for another fabulous month? Well hold on to your hats, 'cause it's on the way! Sneaks start next Wednesday, but in the meantime today is challenge kick-off day.

Excuse the goofy title, this challenge is all about the words that make your mother's day! Create by using a sentiment as your focal point and you'll be in the running to win Flourishes' entire May release! FLLCMAY11. Deadline is May 13th at 5 PM Eastern. Get all the details at the Flourishes blog.

You might want to check out some changes in store for release week, too. Just sayin' :) Some fun things are in store and you can find out about it HERE.

I do so love to use a wonderful sentiment as my focal image, so this one was right up my alley! I started by stamping one of my favorite sentiments from the Lifelines set on some patterned paper, then cut a frame from more patterned paper with my Large Labels Nestabilities and my Grand Calibur machine.

The frame was popped up on the sentiment panel with some bits of foam tape and set aside. The rest of the card is very simple--I let the lovely paper be a backdrop for the sentiment panel, only adding some interest with some gathered up seam binding, a bow, and some matching rhinestones.

Be sure to check out the inspiration provided by the rest of the Flourishes Senior Design Team and then I hope you'll enter the challenge!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
