A Little Message For You - CTD #140 and MFTWSC #18

OMGosh! It's Wednesday again so that means it's Color Throwdown AND MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge day! I'm the host at CTD today so that means I chose these colors. So vintage-y, don't you think?
And here's the sketch--another fun one from MFT! You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I'm using a just-released-last-night MFT set called Just My Type Die and Stamp Set. How stinkin' cute is this??? I love that typewriter image--AND it's part of a Die-namics Duo so you don't have to fussy cut it out :) The die has two parts--the typewriter itself, and another die for the little slip of paper coming out of the typewriter. Is that genius, or what? And no coloring involved :) And, no, I didn't do a square card ;-)

I'm using my newest fave paper - Gabrielle by Bo Bunny, which I guess unconsciously inspired my colors for this week. I stamped the typewriter image on Fossil card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and the sentiment on some patterned paper. For the vertical element, I scavenged some corrugated cardboard and tore off the top layer of paper. The only thing left was to add some seam binding, button and twine, and a butterfly. Oh, and a mini paper clip. Cute!

Here's the inside.

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD140 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week! And please help us welcome our fabulous Guest Designer for May, Jen Mitchell!!

Did you see on the Color Throwdown blog that we've added a team member? We so enjoyed having Carole Burrage with us last month and didn't want to let her go. Sooooo, she's our newest team member! Be sure to give her some welcoming love on her blog!
