Peace, Love, Joy - CTD #166

Here I am back with this week's Color Throwdown challenge! This week, the uber-talented Danielle is back with this color comb:

At first, I wasn't so crazy about this combo, but soon I realized how Christmas-y and rustic it could be. Now I'm IN LOVE with it.

I'm using MFT's hot off the press new release, Clearly Sentimental About Christmas, this month's Triple Scoop set, for my card. I love how peaceful this color palette and these papers are so this was a perfect sentiment for today. Simple layout, but the Layered Label Die-namics dies and the sweet bird from the Homespun Birdhouse Die-namics set just work so well together. I couldn't resist giving the little birdie a holly decoration--the leaf die is from Christmas Ornaments Die-namics set--to sport :)

And here's the inside, with another sentiment from the set and another birdie.

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD166 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including November's Guest Designer, the amazing Lydia Fiedler! AND, help us give a warm welcome to a brand new team member, Kerri Michaud!
