Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
Alrighty, then. This one stumped me for a little while. Then I got the bright idea (LOL, sorry, couldn’t resist) that ended up being this card. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added some Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper Pack to the base. Next, on more Sweet Tooth card stock, I applied Banana Split dye ink and Lemon Drop dye ink throught Concentric Circle Grid Stencil, concentrating the color in the center. I cut Stitched Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics from that, filled in the opening with an all white copy, and popped the stencilled tag up on foam mounting tape.
Next I constructed my LLD Lightbulb Die-namics with Sweet Tooth card stock for the base, Translucent Vellum for the top layer, Silver Shine card stock filament and threads on the base, and black mirror paper for the base itself. I popped that up on the tag element and added the sentiment from LLD Watt’s Up? stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. To finish off I added some silver threaded baker’s twine and some clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
And that’s it! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
