Joy–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #407

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

That big ol’ star in the center of the sketch made me think of the awesome new Perfect Poinsettia Die-namics so that’s where I went. I started by cutting two copies of each layer from Sweet Tooth card stock, shaped the petals and hot glued them together. I cut the centers from Gold Shine card stock and added them, then added Clear Round Drops, Mix for the center. I cut the leaves from Gold Shine card stock and adhered them, then set it aside.

I stamped the bottom of a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock with Christmas Background using Delicata Gold ink then heat embossed “joy” from Hand-Lettered Holiday Greetings with gold detail embossing powder on Heavyweight vellum. I scored and wrapped the vellum around and on top of the stamped panel then popped it all up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape. I adhered the poinsettia and finished off with some gold Sprinkles.
