Baby Girl - MFT May Teaser, Day Two

So, what did you think of yesterday's previews? Told ya :) Today we're showing you Jolinne - Perfect Harmony, Clearly Sentimental about Success, and Notched Tag (Die-namics Duo - stamp set & die set. I'm showing you Notched Tag Duo, but first, a few little things you need to know:
  • The May Guest Designer Contest continues and ends on Monday, May 2nd at 10 PM EST. The winner will be announced at the release party. Get the deets here.
  • Teasers continue daily through Tuesday, May 3rd. Head on over to the MFT blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with for today's teasers. Every day there will be a prize hidden on two of the Creative Team's blog posts. Leaving a comment on every designer's blog post will give you the best chance of winning every day :) Check the MFT blog daily for the winners.
  • The May Hop and Shop will begin at 10:00pm May 3rd, with the hop also starting at the MFT Blog.
On to my card :) See that little tag hanging off the bow? That's the die. "Baby Girl" is just one of the many sentiments in the set. And see those little flowers? There's a set of itty bitty dies along with the tag. Squeeeeeeal!!! So stinkin' CUTE you can't believe it!!! And see the doily? Yep, the smaller one is half of a new Doily Duo Die-namics set! There's another, smaller doily also. I've SO wanted smaller doilies and now we have them!!

So, for the tag, I cut it with the tag die, stamped the "stitching" image and then the sentiment. Then I die cut 4 flowers, stacked them by twos, added a sweet little faux pearl to their centers, and attached them to the tag before hanging it from my ribbon. The center of the doily element was stamped, first, with the flourish from last month's Own Your Story (temporarily out of stock) twice, then over stamped with a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Babies.

Here's the inside with another sentiment from that set.

So, what do you think of these new products. Yeah.:)

This card is also for today's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge. Get all the details on the C4C blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Tomorrow's Pure Innocence day--hope to see you back then!

Today we're showing you Flapper Doodles - SS Flapper, Well Worn Greetings (Die-namics Duo - stamp set & die set), and Fred Bear Plays Indian. Soooo, here's my card for today. This card is also for the Guest Designer Challenge, which is Blue Jeans and Bling. How cool is that?!

I decided to make a masculine card for my project. I'm using a border stamp and sentiment from Well-Worn Greetings, and all three pieces of the coordinating die set. This is one fabulous die set! Love the shapes! You'll be seeing this one often!

See that denim trim? I picked that up at Hobby Lobby MONTHS ago--just because it's so cute! I knew it would come in handy sometime, and now's the time. So, OK, there's no real *bling* on it, but I'm considering those beads "boy bling". Work for you? A little distressing and a few brads finish it off.

And here's the inside. I created the sentiment using last month's Typewriter Alphabet (temporarily out of stock) set and stamped some stars from Well-Worn Greetings.

OK, that's it for me, today. I'll be back tomorrow with another amazing new set and die. LOVE.

~Supplies~
Stamps: Well-Worn Greetings Stamp and Die Set, Typewriter Alphabet (MFT)
Paper: Fossil (MFT); Bordering Blue )SU!); Homeroom 8 x 8 pad (craft store)
Ink: Cajun Craze, Bordering Blue (SU!)
Accessories/tools: Cuttlebug (Provocraft); Well-Worn Die-namics Die Set (MFT); brads, denim trim (craft store); distressing tool (Tim Holtz)

It's a Retirement Party!!

OK, so I wish it was *my* retirement party, but it's not. This party is to celebrate some fabulous Flourishes sets that are going, going, soon-to-be-gone! They are now reduced 65%--what a bargain, but this is the final markdown!!!

I'm having an early Christmas show with some of my favorite cards from the past using sets that are soon to be history.

Christmas Wreath

 Peace

Once these sets are gone, they're gone for good, so head on over to the Flourishes store and score some awesome bargains!

You can also see some of the retiring sets on Danielle's blog today and some of my other team mates will have some eye candy for you tomorrow and Saturday, as well, so be sure to check the Flourishes blog for details.

Thanks SO much for stopping by today!

Congratulations!!!

Tomorrow starts MFT's May teasers, but TODAY there's a HUGE announcement over on the MFT blog

To celebrate the news, I have a card using one of last month's Pure Innocence sets: PI - Graduation Boy. I stamped him on a Perfect Paper Panel (temporarily out of stock) and colored him with Copic markers. I layered up some paper from Basic Grey's Wander 6 x 6 pad, using the Notebook Edge Die-namics die on one layer.

Then I finished it up with some stars made with the Stacking Stars Die-namics die set, a mini library clip, and a button and some twine. Is he not adorable????!!!!

Here's the inside, with a sentiment from the set and more stars.

Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for the first MFT May teaser! You're gonna seriously FLIP over May's release!

Happy Birthday - CTD #139

Back again with another Color Throwdown Challenge! Today's colors were chosen by the uber talented Kristin and are so yummy!

And not only did Kristin supply today's colors, she also came up with today's sponsorship. Yep, our girl has designed some super gorgeous sets for My Time Made Easy and the design team is showcasing them today. The border stamp is from Occasional Labels and the sentiment is from Sentimental Occasions. AND, if that weren't enough, I cut the label out with my Cricut and the Occasional Labels cut file! Such a classic look, don't you think? I know I'll be reaching for these sets over and over in the future. Fabulous job, Kristin!

I decided to go sorta CAS with this card to really bring focus on the images. First, I embossed the top layer of card stock and layered it up with Pear Pizazz. Then I stamped the gingham border with Cajun Craze, the inner border and sentiment with Early Espresso, and the little flower flourish with Pear Pizazz.

Then I popped it up on foam, added the ribbon and button, and finished up with the sweet little Prima roses.

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD139 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

Take the Leap - MFTWSC #17

It's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge time!! You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

As you can see, I flipped the sketch this week. I'm using a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Success (this particular set is temporarily out of stock), along with my Layered Labels Die-namics dies, for my focal image.

My paper is from Echo Park's For the Record 6 x 6 pad. The scalloped layer of the green element was done with my Simply Scallops Medium border Die-namics die and the sweet flower with my Pretty Posies dies. The leaves were made with my Upsy Daisy Die-namics. Some baker's twine provided the two strip elements and it was done.

Another sentiment from the set and another flower complete the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by! We hope you'll give the sketch a try--you could win a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique :)

Hope Your Day Is Fabulous - PTI April Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on PTIs April Blog Hop! This month's challenge is to make a masculine card. They're often the hardest to do, but luckily I just got my Alpha Blocks set so I knew what I was going to do.

First of all, I die cut some blocks with the Alpha Block die, then I stamped "dad" with Dark Chocolate Ink. Next, I stamped the sentiment from Signature Greetings at the bottom of some Kraft card stock and did a little paper piercing in the upper right corner. A couple of layers of card stock, some patterned paper from Graphic 45's A Proper Gentleman, some twine, a button, and popped up letters finished it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have fun looking at all the eye candy on the hop!

Flourishes 1, 2, 3 Create Kit!

Amazing collection, for only $20--a great deal for all you get. There are some add-ons that can be ordered separately, as well:

Happy Easter - Crazy 4 Challenges #84

Happy Saturday! Since it's Saturday, it's Crazy 4 Challenges time! And since it's almost Easter, our challenge for today, brought to us by Silke Kittman, is to make an Easter card. Obviously, I can't pick up Flopsey lately without creating a scene with him ;-)

I'm using Basket Full 'o Flopsey for my scene today. I stamped him on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored him with Copic markers before cutting him out.

The rest is all about dies. I used MFT's Fresh Cut Grass, Jumbo Scallops, Teardrop Tree Topper, Sunshine, and Flat Bottomed Clouds Die-namics dies for all the other elements of my card, finishing up with some sweet yellow baker's twine tied around in a bow just above the sentiment.

Here's the inside.

And here are the Copic markers I used.

Sooooo, NOW, be sure to check out the samples by the rest of my crazy girls...er, I mean the Crazy 4 Challenges team ;-)
THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C84.

Thanks so much for dropping in today!
