I had so much fun making my project! It was hanging on my front door for Memorial Day and it will be there for July 4th and any other occasion I can find :)
I mentioned in my Creative Challenge wreath post that I’d almost used a grapevine wreath for it’s base, so I decided to go with that for this one. Adds to the “Americana” look, I think, don’t you?
So, I knew what I wanted to do and just set out making the components. Rosettes using my Die-namics 1/4” Rosette, my Die-namics Mini Doily Circles, Die-namics By the Letters Uppercase, and the new Die-namics Star STAX. I made lots of Die-namics Star STAX in different sizes and papers, and finally cut out a new Vanity License Plate. On it I stamped “1776” using the accompanying stamp set and “est.” using the Typewriter Alphabet set. Then it was just a matter of arranging the way I wanted and adhering to the wreath. Again, I thought it needed something under the die cuts so I adhered some Kraft shred with hot glue.
Here’s a close up of the top part of the wreath…
…the center…
…and the bottom.
With all of MFT’s fabulous dies to choose from, I can’t wait to make more wreaths. One—or two—for every season :)
Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this project:
Thanks SO much for stopping by! Hope to see you tonight at the release party and then for the Hop and Shop! Something new tonight at the Hop and Shop that I don’t think you’re going to want to miss. Just sayin’ :)
