I’ve done one home décor item and a couple of cards to show you how versatile this new set in the Inspired by… line is. Inspired by the Front Porch – Fall is one of my new favorites, for sure! I LOVE fall and do a fair amount of Fall decorating in my home. There was one place in my hallway that needed a little something and this totally fills the bill.
I had this frame in my stash and decided it was perfect for this little scene. Now, the frame opening was larger than I liked for the image size, so I did a little design magic to camouflage that problem. I cut my rustic looking paper to fit the opening and then stamped the front porch image with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.
I put it into the frame to get my spacing right and then stamped the sentiment ON THE GLASS with Timber Brown Staz On ink and set it aside to dry while I colored the porch image with Copic markers and sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
Here’s another view, hopefully to show how the stamping looks on the glass.
Then I decorated the outside of the frame with some Fall-colored “mums” made with my Die-namics Upsy Daisy dies and the new Die-namics Medium Leafy Flourish die. I used Tangy Orange card stock, Orange Fizz card stock, Banana Split card stock, Jellybean Green card stock, and Hot Fudge buttons from the MFT Boutique for my “mums”.
I’m going to LOVE seeing this hanging in my hallway this fall—I can’t wait!!
And next up, one of the cards.
I’m keeping this card kinda CAS, by only adding a Die-namics Fishtail Flag STAX element of patterned paper, then popped up the stamped element on foam dots. Since I already had my Die-namics Upsy Daisy dies out, I made another one from Tangy Orange card stock and a Hot Fudge button for it.
I cut out one of the new Die-namics Designer Labels 4 STAX dies and stamped the rocking chair image on it. I did just a little shading with a warm neutral Copic marker and then sponged the edges.
Some twine and a simple stamped sentiment finish it off. I used Versafine Sepia ink for this sentiment because it stamps so crisply.
And here’s the inside with another Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX die cut and another sentiment from the set.
And, the second card.
This is another rather CAS card. I stamped the mum image on Whip Cream Card stock and then stamped it again. I colored both images and then cut out just the flower part of the second one, then popped it up on top of the first for some dimension, shown here:
I stamped the sentiment on a Die-namics Mini Tab Foursome die and slipped it under the image panel with some twine and a Tangy Orange button for accent.
On the inside, I stamped the rocker image and another sentiment from the set.
Here are the Die-namics dies I used on these projects:
Thanks SO MUCH for stopping by and for all the sweet comments this past week! They are so appreciated!

ReplyDeleteWonderful projects – that frame is just perfect! I can't wait for Autumn's arrival. We put our hammock, which is on a stand, out on the deck this year. It hasn't been used as often as I'd hoped, due to so much heat, but I'm determined to leave it out there well into November, even if that means using a blanket to enjoy it!
