Hi, everyone, are you ready to start seeing what MFT has in store for you in February? Release Countdown starts today with these products being previewed: Blueprints 22 Die-namics, LJD Spring Tulips Stamp Set, LJD Spring Tulips Die-namics, Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Square STAX Die-namics, and Houndstooth Background. Release is on February 3rd at 10pm, and you can get all the details at the MFT Blog.
I have a couple of cards for you today. My first card started with a Black Licorice card stock base. Then, on some Neenah paper and using the masking technique, I stamped the images from LJD Spring Tulips Stamp Set with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored them with Copic markers. I stamped part of the sentiment on the card front with Black Licorice hybrid ink and the rest on a strip of Black Licorice card stock, stamped with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder and set it aside. I matted the card front with a new color for this month, Coral Crush card stock, cut with the new Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I love the interest this die gives the edges of the layer!! I popped it up on foam mounting tape and and added the black sentiment strip, also popped up on foam.
Another sentiment from the set was stamped on the inside on Sweet Tooth card stock, also cut with Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics.

My second card has a row of stamped tulips—an alternative to masking and coloring the line drawings.
I also started this card with a Black Licorice card stock base. I used another new color, In the Buff hybrid ink, to stamp some Sweet Tooth card stock with the new and awesome Houndstooth Background stamp. I’m thinking In the Buff is going to be my new fave warm neutral—I love it! I matted it with In the Buff card stock and popped it up on foam mounting tape on the base after tying some hemp cord around. Then, on a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock, I stamped several tulips, in five of the new colors: Orange Zest hybrid ink, Pure Plum hybrid ink, In the Buff hybrid ink, Daffodil hybrid ink, and Coral Crush hybrid ink. The leaves were stamped with Green Room dye ink and Gumdrop Green dye ink. The sentiment was stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink and the panel popped up on foam. I tied on a Black Licorice button with more hemp cord and it was done.
Another sentiment from the set was stamped on the inside.
And there you have it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you back tomorrow for Day Four of MFT’s February Release Countdown!
