Hi, all, it’s time! MFT’s February Release is live! Everything we’ve been showing you for the last five days is available for purchase right now in the MFT Boutique!!
I have four cards for you using the amazingly creative and versatile Candy Jars Die-namics and Candy Jar Companions Stamp Set, along with some other February release products.
My first card starts with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. On another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock I stamped Harlequin Background with In the Buff Hybrid ink in a distressed manner. I cut Candy Jars Die-namics from Berrylicious card stock and Heat Resistant Acetate and set them aside. I cut the stick candy and stamped them with Orange Zest hybrid ink, Daffodil hybrid ink, Summer Splash hybrid ink, Pure Plum hybrid ink, and Coral Crush hybrid ink, adhered them to the Berrylicious die cut and covered them with the acetate. I cut the label from Black Licorice card stock stamped “Candy” with Sweet Tooth pigment ink, heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder, tied it around the jar with hemp cord, and popped the whole thing up on foam mounting tape. The sentiment was stamped the same way and popped up as well. A few clear gems were adhered with a Quickie Glue Pen to finish it off.
Here’s a close up so you can see how the acetate shines.
Another sentiment from Candy Jar Companions Stamp Set was stamped on the inside with Black Licorice dye ink.

My second card involves a little water coloring.
This card started with a Grout Gray card stock base. I water colored through Harlequin Stencil with Cherry Crisp dye ink, added some silver glitter paper edges, and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape. Next up is a Pierced Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics cut from Translucent Vellum. I added an eyelet cut from Cherry Crisp card stock and a die from Tag Builder Blueprints 1 Die-namics, looped silver cord through and popped it up on foam mounting tape. Candy Jars Die-namics was cut from water color paper on which I had done a wash with Summer Splash dye ink and it also has a Heat Resistant Acetate cover. The “kisses” inside the jar were made by running some Ranger Silver Foil Card Stock through my die cutting machine on a marked up cutting plate to give it the look of crinkles before cutting out the kisses. I added little strips of vellum on which I wrote “xoxoxoxo” to each kiss. The label was cut from Sweet Tooth card stock, stamped with a heart from the set and Cherry Crisp dye ink, and tied on with silver cord. The sentiment was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink, heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder, and popped up on foam. Some enamel dots finish it off.
Here’s a close up of it.
Another sentiment from the set was stamped on the inside with Black Licorice dye ink.

My third card took advantage of some masking.
This card was SO much fun to make! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then I added a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock on which I stamped the mint image over and over to create background paper using Orange Zest dye ink, Summer Splash dye ink, and Daffodil dye ink. Next I created more background paper using Harlequin Stencil, Orange Zest dye ink, Summer Splash dye ink, and a black fine point marker. I sponged on the color, moving the stencil for the second color, and drew in the black with the aid of a ruler. Next is Sweet Tooth card stock that was dry embossed with Polka Dot Stencil. Candy Jars Die-namics was cut from Sweet Tooth card stock—resembles milk glass, right?—and I stamped the bowl full of mints using the masking technique and Orange Zest dye ink, Summer Splash dye ink, and Daffodil dye ink—I added three die cut and stamped mints on top, popped up on foam. Before I popped the whole thing up on foam, I added some black thread to ground it. The sentiment was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder, then popped up on foam mounting tape.
More mints and another sentiment were stamped on the inside.
*****
My final card is more CAS.
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base then added a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock that had been dry embossed with Harlequin Stencil, with silver glitter card stock and a Black Licorice card stock trim and some silver cord tied ‘round in a bow. The sentiment was stamped with Black Licorice dye ink. I cut three peeps with Candy Jars Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and stamped them with the image from Candy Jar Companions Stamp Set in Orange Zest dye ink, Summer Splash dye ink, and Daffodil dye ink. The eyes were stamped with Black Licorice dye ink. I popped them up on foam and finished off with enamel dots and clear gems.
Another sentiment was stamped on the inside with Black Licorice dye ink.
And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR Candy Jars Die-namics and Candy Jar Companions Stamp Set in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, February 5th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on the Release Rewind Day Two post on Friday, February 6th. Good luck!!
