Message in a Bottle Card Kit from MFT Release!!

Hello, it’s time!
MFT’s January Card Kit, Message in a Bottle, is now available for purchase in the MFT Online Boutique! Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details. I have one more card for you using this adorable kit and I had a ton of fun making it.

My other two cards had the bottle bobbing along on the waves but I wanted this one to be washed up on the beach. So to begin, I created a watercolor background using Ken Oliver Color Bursts: Flower Fresh, Brights, and Rich Moroccan Shades and added a little foam at the shoreline with white craft paint. Once that dried I cut it with Message in a Bottle Die-namics and added the shaker pouch. Before I adhered it in, though, I cut a slit at the top to allow me to actually insert the cork sheet die cut INTO the bottle. Yay! Love how that turned out! I had to add a little foam shim under the cork but that keeps it level as well as adhered. Win-win!

Then I added the sentiments from Little Love Notes Stamp Set, cut with Little Notes Die-namics and sponged with Old Paper Distress Ink along with some seed beads to simulate sand. I closed it up and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base and finished the scene with elements from Beach Scene Builder Die-namics. I love this card!

Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon! Now go shop!
