I'm Walking On Sunshine

Remember that song? Well that's me today because I can finally share some happy, happy news! I'm dirty!! YES!! I'm one of the newest SCS Dirty Dozen!!! Talk about a dream come true! If you're a Fan Club member you can read all about it there, and if you're not, now's a great time to become one--find out how to do that here. Not only can you peek into the Dirty Dozen Gallery for loads of dirty inspiration, but one lucky Fan Club member who participates in our special challenge will win an Etsy Treasury item of their choosing, up to a $100 value! How cool is that!? Get all the deets here.

To celebrate my good news, I have this card to show you today which was inspired by that song.

When I was working on this card my DH came in and looked over my shoulder as I was arranging the pieces and said it looked like I was working on a felt board, LOL. Well, some felt, some paper. I stamped the tree from Grow Love - Plant a Tree on Fossil card stock twice and patterned paper once, and layered it up. I built up my little scene, stitched the sun beams and computer generated the sentiment. This card is exactly how I feel today :)

Oh, and I just gave you a little hint about the Dirty Dozen theme for this month, so why don't you join the Fan Club and play along ;-)

Let's Get Physical - January VIP Hop and Shop

It's MFT VIP time! WTG is getting physical this month! If you got here from Sherrie's blog you're right on track, if not, you might want to double back to Kim's blog 'cause that's where all this awesomeness starts.

Here's what's available starting NOW. The VIP package is a ONE DAY ONLY product (will be available through December 15 at 11:59 PM EST), that gives you the opportunity to purchase the WTG set THREE WEEKS early. The mini set that is included in the VIP kit for free is EXCLUSIVE to the VIP kit and will never be available for purchase.

How fabulous is this??? I love it!! You'll be seeing some fitness journals along the hop but not here, LOL! I still have plenty of Christmas eatin' to do before I can think about that! So, I decided to make a "you go girl" type card for a friend who is in the process of loosing some weight. Isn't that sentiment PERFECT for this?

I colored WTG with Copic markers and shaded with Prismacolor pencils. I'm using Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1934 paper--LOVE this sheet of paper with numbers--also perfect for this sentiment.

And here's the inside--another fabulous sentiment. Both sentiments are from the free mini set, Get a Move On.

And here are the Copic markers I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now you'll want to hop on along to the amaaaaazing Melody's blog and see what she has to tempt you with! And don't forget to SHOP!!!

à la modes - Key To My Heart

Are you ready for another MFT à la modes? Today we have à la modes - Key To My Heart. Oh, I do love this set! Be sure to check out Kim's blog at 11:00am today to see what members of the Creative Team are previewing this set. Both à la modes sets will be fully released tonight (December 14th) at 10:00pm along with January's VIP set. Here's a few other things you need to know:
  • à la modes will be available only in rubber
  • Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.
  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!
  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety, after purchase.
  • $10.95 for the 3 x 4" set.
Now, on to à la modes - Key To My Heart.

I thought anything this sweet deserved some sweet paper so I'm using Sweetness by Pink Paislee and Bubblegum card stock from MFT. I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic markers--except the dress, which was paper pieced. And since this paper has such a vintage look, I added some crocheted lace, a die cut doily using the Decorative Doily Die-namics die, and some seam binding. I finished it off with a Hearts a Plenty Die-namics heart and a little brass key charm, a button, and some baker's twine.

Here's the inside. Another doily, more hearts, and a sweet sentiment, from the set.

And here are the Copic markers I used.

Thanks so very much for stopping by! Don't forget the VIP Hop and Shop tonight at 10:00pm, starting at Kim's blog.

Christmas Candy - FTTC #97

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC97)! This week Maki Jones is our challenge host! Maki is challenging us to a theme! The theme is all about food and drink! Create a card or project that showcases some yummy treats either real or stamped! We look forward to seeing what delicious looking creations you make!

OMGosh!! It's less than two weeks until Christmas!! How did that happen??? When I was a little girl, we always used to have hard candy for Christmas, and this candy border from Christmas Borders brings back those memories. I know this challenge is about Christmas FOOD, but candy is one of the five main food groups, right? ;-)

I decided to make this a CAS card to really showcase this gorgeous border--plus it should be easy to mail, and I still have to mail out Christmas cards! I stamped the image on Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers. Then I tied a black button on with some red metallic cord (I'm loving this cord for Christmas cards--less bulky than ribbon). The sentiment is from Flourished Christmas framed with a little paper piercing (haven't done that in a while!).

Now, be sure to go see what my team mates did with this challenge!
Thanks for stopping by!

~Supplies~
Stamps: Christmas Borders, Flourished Chrismas (Flourishes)
Paper: Classic White (Flourishes); Real Red, Basic Black (SU!)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories/tools: Copic markers; paper piercer/mat/template (SU!); cord (craft store); button (PTI); foam tape (Scotch)

Soooooo, without further ado, here's à la modes - Cheers! I just LOVE black for New Year's Eve parties. And gold, of course ;-) So I dressed my girl as I'd love to be dressed, LOL. I colored the image with Copic markers and paper pieced her party dress. After I colored a second copy of the champagne flute I covered it with Glossy Accents, cut it out, and paper pieced it, too. It's hard to see in the picture, but I used the Faux Crochet Border Die-namics die on gold metallic paper for the horizontal element, then tied gold cord around and added a Rolled Flower Die-namics die flower and some punched out leaves. Oo-la-la!

And here's the inside, with another Faux Crochet Border.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll have the second à la modes card for your tomorrow, and don't forget the VIP Blog Hop and Shop starts at 10:00pm tomorrow night, also at Kim's blog.
