Trust me, this set will be a go to set for years to come—it’s THAT good.

OK, one more thing before I get to my card ;-) I’m using the Guest Designer sketch for my card today and here’s the sketch.

F124763167

OK, NOW to my card. I could tell you that I sorta switched up the sketch a bit to let my banner show up better but that would not be true ;-) I attached my bling before I adhered the card base and I put the bling on upside down, LOL! Actually, it was a happy accident because it DOES show off my banner better :)

I made my banner with my
Die-namics Mix & Match Banners , my Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX, and my Die-namics Hearts a Plenty set. I simply layered them and stitched through the center, attached them to some twine, and popped them up on foam. The sentiment, from My Favorite Sentiments, was stamped on another Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX die cut and popped up as well. MFT card stock used on this card is Whip Cream and Red Hot.

Here’s the inside, with another sentiment from the set. So true, so true.

The Best Things In Life—SSSC #161

SSSC161_2012jun24

Happy Sunday, y’all! Today I have a card for Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #161. What a fun sketch! I’m sure I’ll be going back to it often!

After I got the base card done, I used my
Die-namics Vertical Greetings II Die & Stamp Set for my focal image, popped up on some foam.

The little flag elements were done with my
Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX set and the flower was made with my Die-namics Pretty Posies and Die-namics Royal Leaves. Some stitching, a button, and some twine finish it off!

Whip Cream, Wild Cherry, Jellybean Green card stock are all from MFT and the little white button is from Buttons Galore and More.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

Own Your Story–C4C #142

C4C142_2012jun23

Happy Saturday, y’all! Since it *is* Saturday, it’s time for
Crazy 4 Challenges challenge! Today, our host, Silke Kittman, is challenging us to a sketch. I love me some sketches! Here’s Silke’s sketch.

image

OK, so obviously, I didn’t use a circle for my focal element, but sketches are supposed to be for inspiration, right? You don’t have to follow them to the letter, right? Good ;-) I’m using MFT’s Die-namics Own Your Story Stamp Set and Four Point Frame for my card. I stamped the sentiment on the Four Point Frame die cut and overstamped with the flourish, also from the set. Under it you’ll see some patterned paper with a Die-namics Notebook Edge die cut peeking out along with some bling. I tied some twine around in a bow and popped up a Die-namics Pretty Posies flower with a twine-tied button center. There’s also some stitching to finish it off.

Here’s the inside with my favorite sentiment from this set and another flourish:

Flourishes Friday Free For All–Happy 50th Anniversary

freeforall_2012jun22wtmk

Happy Friday and welcome to Flourishes Friday Free For All! Today I have another card using the recently released Happily Ever After set.

First of all, I stamped an image from
Wedded Bliss on Classic Ivory card stock, stamped with gold pigment ink and embossed with fine detail gold embossing powder. Then I cut it out with my Labels Eighteen Nestabilities and popped it up on black card stock cut with a Classic Oval Nestabilities die. For the card base, I used Classic Ivory, Metallic Card Stock – Gold, black, and more Classic Ivory.

I decided to use some black bling, but before I adhered it, I added some scoring in the upper right corner for balance. Then I added the bling, popped up the image element, and added the sentiment, from
Happily Ever After on a strip of Classic Ivory card stock.

And that, as they say, is that! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the
Flourishes team has to show you:

Barbara Anders  (<--you are here!)

Let Your Dreams Soar–MFTWSC #77

MFTWSC77_2012jun20

 GetSketchy_DesignTeam

Are you ready for another MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge? Here’s this week’s sketch. You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFTWSC77

Welcome to this week’s
MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! As you can see, I made my card A2 size and brought out my Die-namics Fly a Kite set. I love that kite!! I used some MFT Tangy Orange Grosgrain ribbon for the horizontal element. The sentiment is from Flopsey Flies a Kite and was stamped on a Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon flag and adhered under a twine-tied button. Some machine stitching and a few Dew Drops finish it off.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from
Flopsey Flies a Kite.
