Easter Wishes

easterwishes_2013feb25

Happy Tuesday! I hadn’t had a chance to used these adorable little peeps from MFT’s February release so I decided to do something very CAS with them.

First off I cut three peeps, from my Die-namics Woven Basket set, out of some polka dot paper and laid them out to see what else I wanted to do. I had some new border embossing folders and I thought one of them would add just the right touch to the bottom of my Sweet Tooth card stock base. After I embossed, I stamped the sentiment, from LJD Embellished Eggs, with Black Licorice Ink and popped the peeps up on foam just above it. Easy peasy and too cute!

Here’s the inside, with another sentiment from the set:

Okey dokey, that’s it from me today! See you back tomorrow with a couple of cards!

Love Yourself

loveyourself_2013feb26

Hi, everyone! Back today with a card that I just had to make. I got the idea and had to do it before I forgot it. Plus, I can’t get enough of my Die-namics Leaf-Filled Flourish and my Die-namics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose. Any excuse to use them, KWIM?

I started by choosing the patterned papers I wanted to use, then die cut a frame from the top layer using my Die-namics Designer Labels 3 STAX and popped it up all around with foam tape. Using my Die-namics LLD Insert It – 3 x 4 Notebook Paper die, I cut the sentiment piece. I trimmed it down from the original size to fit my design. Then I stamped the sentiment, from Die-namics Own Your Story Stamp Set & Four Point Frame with Black Licorice Ink and popped it up, as well. I cut two Die-namics Leaf-Filled Flourishes, adhered them, then added my Die-namics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

And that’s it! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Let It Snow Banner

winterbanner_2013feb11

Hey, everyone, I’ve got a project to show you today that I made a couple of months ago and I’m just getting around to blogging it. I’m sure some of you are shuddering at the thought of more snow, but where I live we don’t get much so I’m still hoping ;-)

I’m using a bunch of MFT Die-namics dies for this so let me tell you about it. Each pennant starts with the largest size of my Die-namics Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX, cut from some Kraft corrugated paper. The next layer is Nightshift Blue card stock and then some patterned paper. The “header” was cut from silver glitter paper with my Die-namics Icicle Border.

Next, I added a Die-namics Large Fancy Flourish, a Die-namics Snowflake Doily die cut, then a medallion made with my Die-namics 1/4” Rosette. On top of that is a corrugated circle, made with my Die-namics Circle STAX, and finally the letter, cut from blue glitter paper with Die-namics By the Letters Uppercase.

Added to the “S” pennant is a Die-namics LLD Accent It -  Flags & Tags tab with “let it” stamped with Typewriter Alphabet.

The “N”…

…the “O”…

…and the “W”.

At each end and in between each pennant, I added a smaller fishtail spacer. On it is a Die-namics Let It Snowflake die cut and a Nightshift Blue button tied with hemp cord. To attach the pennants, I hot glued some heavy jute cord to the back of each element. Each piece of paper was edge-sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink—I now have a pad dedicated to glitter paper ;-)

The only thing I have left to say is…thanks for stopping by and LET IT SNOW!!!!!

Hello–C4C #174

C4C174_2013feb23

Happy Saturday! Since it’s Saturday, that means it’s Crazy 4 Challenges day! Today Joanne has challenged us to add lots of texture to our card or project. I can do that, LOL!

I chose to add texture with lots of die cuts. I started out with a Whip Cream card stock base, added a Sno Cone card stock layer, and then started on my doily stack. The bottom is a Die-namics High Tea Party Doily, then I have a Die-namics Dizzy Doily, then both Die-namics Dizzy Doily Duo die cuts. There’s foam tape between each layer until you get to the top, which was made with one of the Die-namics Mini Doily Circles. I topped it off with a Sno Cone button, tied with some narrow ribbon. The sentiment strip, cut with a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX die, was stamped with Black Licorice Ink and is from LJD On the Line.

I also added some texture by doing some scoring on the right upper corner, then added a pearl trio. Here’s the inside, with another sentiment from the set and more scoring…just because :)

And that's it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you!

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C174.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
