Happy Wednesday!! It’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge and this week my bestie, Tammy is our host. She has some gorgeous colors for us to work with this week. I had such fun putting this card together!
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, added a Black Licorice card stock layer, and then a embossed Kraft card stock layer. I love that embossing and I think it has a definite “tooled leather” look, perfect for this slightly Western-themed card.
So, next, I stamped the bottom layer of my Die-namics Well Worn Greetings Die & Stamp Set with the gingham image and Wild Cherry ink. The second layer was made with Kraft card stock which was covered with strips of washi tape before being cut out. Love this! The top layer was stamped with the border and the sentiment on Sweet Tooth card stock with Black Licorice ink and popped up on foam.
To finish it off, I made another Die-namics Poppy Builder using Wild Cherry card stock and Black Licorice card stock, and the leaves are from the new Die-namics Flower Box set cut from Gumdrop Green card stock. A Gumdrop Green button for the center completes the poppy.
Here’s the inside with another sentiment and the sweet heart from the set:
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD234 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week.

ReplyDeleteI had to come over from Color Throwdown and get a closer look at this! I really like the embossing folder you used on the bg. Do you remember its name? And the layers - stamped and washi-ed : ) - are wonderful. and besides all that Jelly Bean green is MUCH nicer than Garden Green any day!!! :)
