It’s here! MFT September Release is live and available for purchase, right now, right HERE!
Do you love the Mason Jar Labels, Mason Jar Mug Die-namics, and Mason Jar Die-namics as much as I do?? My goodness, but they’re darling, aren’t they??!!
I have four cards for you tonight using those very sets—it’s a long post so get comfy and let’s get crackin’!
For my first card, I went all summery with a Mason Jar Mug Die-namics mug of ice cold lemonade. I used Blueprints 15 Die-namics for my first layer of Sweet Tooth Card Stock on a Steel Gray Card Stock base. Next I added a piece of Sweet Tooth Card Stock stamped with Lemon Drop Ink and Burlap Background, a strip of Blu Raspberry Stamped with Blu Raspberry Ink and Fine Check Background, and a strip of Sweet Tooth Card Stock stenciled with Scattered Bars Stencil and Red Hot Ink, Lemon Drop Ink, and Blu Raspberry Ink.
That was followed by Sweet Tooth Card Stock stamped with Mini Chicken Wire Background and Steel Gray Ink, cut with Pinking Edge Rectangle STAX Die-namics. The mug was cut from Sweet Tooth Card Stock and colored with Copic markers. The straw and sentiment were stamped with Red Hot Ink and the lemons were made from Lemon Drop Card Stock and Whip Cream Card Stock and the ice cubes were cut from Translucent Vellum.
The inside has another sentiment from the set along with another lemon half :)
*****
For my second card, I put the Mason Jar Mug Die-namics to use as a vase :)
I started with a Kraft Card Stock base card, stamped with Burlap Background and Natural Ink. Next is a Primitive White Card Stock panel on which I built my bouquet. The Mason Jar Mug Die-namics was created by first cutting it out with Blu Raspberry Card stock, then assembling Fresh Cut Flowers Die-namics from Jellybean Green Card Stock, Orange Fizz Card Stock, Lemon Drop Card Stock, Chocolate Brown Card Stock, Grape Jelly Card Stock, Grapesicle Card Stock, Safety Orange Card Stock, and Tangy Orange Card Stock.
Then I layered another copy of the mug, cut from Translucent Vellum, and the sentiment, cut from Primitive White Card Stock and stamped with Chocolate Brown ink.
On the inside is another sentiment from the set, stamped with Chocolate Brown Ink and another Fresh Cut Flowers Die-namics flower.
*****
I had some fun with this card! Those round balls can be gumballs, hard candy, or as in this case, marbles!
I started with a Black Licorice Card Stock base, then adhere a strip of Sweet Tooth Card Stock that had been stenciled with Scattered Bars Stencil and Grape Jelly Ink, Blu Raspberry Ink, Sour Apple Ink, Lemon Drop Ink, Orange Fizz Ink, and Red Hot ink, then splattered with MIX-ables Steel Shimmer Mist. I cut some “marbles” from Lemon Drop Ink and a couple of backgrounds: Blu Raspberry Ink stamped on Sweet Tooth Card Stock with Fine Check Background and Scattered Bars Stencil on Sweet Tooth Card Stock using Red Hot Ink, Blu Raspberry Ink, and Lemon Drop Ink. My Mason Jar Die-namics started with a Sno Cone Card Stock copy, then I piled on some marbles and sequins, allowing them to “pour” out of the jar and bounce, then covered with a clear acetate layer cut from the jar die.
The Sweet Tooth Card Stock background was embossed with Diagonal Bars Stencil and the sentiment was stamped on a strip of Black Licorice Card Stock with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I combined two sentiment stamps for the sentiment on the inside.
*****
I had some more summer fun with my last card.
I started with a Nightshift Blue Card Stock base. The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Black Licorice Card Stock with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder then adhered to the card front. Then I cut Mason Jar Die-namics from more Nightshift Blue Card Stock and added my fireflies, cut from Chocolate Brown Card Stock and Translucent Vellum. The “light” was done with a Prismacolor pencil and OMS, the yellow gem on the tail colored with a Copic marker.
I added some stars, cut from glitter paper and Scattered Stars Die-namics, and Grassy Edges Die-namics cut from Jellybean Green Card Stock. The last thing I did was to add a clear acetate Mason Jar Die-namics over the fireflies and a lid, cut from silver mirror paper, lying in the grass.
Another sentiment from the set and another firefly were added to the inside.
And that’s it from me! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR Mason Jar Labels and your Mason Jar Mug Die-namics in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, September 18th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on the Release Rewind Day Two post on Friday, September 19th.
See you soon!
