Thanks for joining me for the first day on MFT’s November Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing LJD Peek-a-Boo Wonky Windows Die-namics, BB Toasty Greetings, BB Toasty Greetings Die-namics, Get Toasty, Toasted Marshmallows Die-namics, True Blue Houndstooth Paper Pack, and Painted Prints Citrus Paper Pack. PLUS six more colors of card stock and ink: Chili Powder, Cactus, Blue Yonder, Eggplant, Periwinkle, and Cement Gray—all just luscious colors that I can’t get enough of! Release is November 3rd at 10pm—be sure to check out the MFT Blog for all the details.
I have two very different cards for you today, both of which were super fun to make. My first one uses BB Toasty Greetings and BB Toasty Greetings Die-namics, along with several of the new inks.
I started with a Stone Gray card stock base, then on some Ranger watercolor paper, I created a background wash using, top to bottom, Blue Yonder dye ink, Cactus dye ink, and Cement Gray dye ink, then stamped the sentiment, from BB Toasty Greetings, with Black Licorice hybrid ink.
Next I cut and stamped the images from BB Toasty Greetings and BB Toasty Greetings Die-namics, also with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored them with Copic markers, then popped them up on foam mounting tape. To finish off, I added some clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
*****
My second card uses Get Toasty and Toasted Marshmallows Die-namics to create a fun scene.
This card started with a Kraft card stock base, then I built my scene on Blueberry card stock. First I stamped the sentiment from Get Toasty with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Then I added Tall Grassy Edge Die-namics cut from the new Cactus card stock. Using Toasted Marshmallows Die-namics, I made my flames from Daffodil card stock and Orange Zest card stock, sponging the edges for some dimension.
The sticks were cut from some paper in my stash, Kraft card stock stamped with Wood Plank Background and Chocolate Brown dye ink, and the marshmallows were cut from Ranger watercolor paper and colored with Tangy Orange dye ink and Chocolate Brown dye ink using some smooshing. To finish off I added some stars in the sky cut with Blueprints 24 Die-namics.
And that’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you back tomorrow for Day Four of MFT’s November Release Countdown!
